The Juco Classic News Service is entering its 14th season of providing in-depth and timely information about the world of NJCAA Division I men's basketball. Beginning in November, The Juco Classic News Service Report is emailed directly to subscribers on Mondays and Thursdays (with the exception of holiday periods) and daily during regional and national tournament action. Each report provides the scores of all the games during the reporting period, recaps of contests played between NJCAA institutions, including statistical information on the top performers, and other notes of interest. Complete standings for conferences and regions in Division I appear in Monday reports prior to an NJCAA Poll. Other features included throughout the season are top upcoming match-ups, periodic statistical rankings of Division I teams, a list of NCAA early signees, a mid-year survey of individual statistical leaders, regional and conference tourney pairings, conference and region honors, and much more. The information in The Juco Classic News Service Report comes from many sources but primarily with direct input from NJCAA schools. Last year, the report included on average 99.8% of the scores for each reporting period! The Juco Classic News Service Report is essential for keeping current on what is happening in the world of NJCAA Division I men's basketball. It is the primary tool used by the 16 voters in the weekly NJCAA poll. Juco coaches refer to it to keep abreast of what's happening not only in their own conference or region, but around the country, and often use it to prepare for future opponents. A season subscription in only $125. NJCAA member institutions may also
qualify for a group discount. To subscribe to this unique service, choose
the “Subscription Form” tab and click "Subscription Form" or "Group
Form" (Adobe Acrobat Reader required) or email michael@jucoclassic.com to request a subscription form. NOTE: The Juco Classic News Service is no longer approved by the NCAA. However, I've entered into a partnership with leading national high school recruiter Van Coleman and former Pensacola State coach Paul Swanson to provide a junior college arm to Van's Hot 100 Hoops Scouting Service. Now, four-year institutions can choose to get Van's high school reporting, the new junior college option, or the two combined at a discount price. The new junior college option will include Paul's evaluation of junior college talent after attending the various juco events in the summer and jamborees during the fall. He will also modify The Juco Classic News Service Report periodically to include additional specific evaluation information on players throughout the regular season. All the additional reporting that was a part of last year's Super Subscription -- schedules and rosters for the 200+ Division I teams, the rosters and stats for all the NJCAA Tournament participants prior to the event, and next spring's Freshmen Stats package -- will be included, all for $300, $100 less than before. To receive further information, email either Michael Johnson (michael@jucoclassic.com), Van Coleman (van@hot100hoops.com), or Paul Swanson (swansonpd@gmail.com). Hot100Hoops.com will be the home of the new service beginning in September.
